Crabs
One of my favorite creature and I can eat them anytime, anywhere and anyhow "except raw"! If you're a bisaya like me then you'll probably knows about the Tong2x pakitong-kitong song. Okay, here it goes ( not sure if I'm singing it correctly ).
Tong-tong tong,pakitong-kitong
Alimango sa suba
Gibantog nga dili makuha
Ako ray makakuha
Ako ray makatuba
-repeat-
Mama and Tatay, used to sing that song together with the Si Filimon song when we were younger. Kids back home never sing any folk songs anymore but Britney songs or Regine songs. It's funny how they can sing and moves like 20 or 30 years old woman. How sad! to see kids acting not a kid. Oh well, back to work for me and cook some lunch before the boys will start screaming for alms.(photo:antifixus21)

I love eating crabs too. I love the chili crabs that my hubby cooks.
I have fond memories of that song, slightly different in lyrics but same meaning.

My elder sister and her husband owns a fishpond and they do sell crabs to dealers. Ironically, I don't eat crabs. :(
But I love the pakitong kitong (another version) and felimon song, reminds me of my childhood days...

Hey I remember we sang that too when we were little, pero di kami bisaya, lol. I bought a tagalog cd of awit pambata for my son when we were in the Phils. There are songs of different dialect din doon. I let him listen to the songs every morning and he sometimes dances to the tune pa, lol. Hopefully he'll learn to speak tagalog too.
