Ensaymada

I’m not sure if some of you still remembered about my previous post talking about “Ensaymada baking”. I baked my very first Ensaymada 2 nights ago and holy coyote it turns out like crap! After spending 4 to 5 hours kneading, waiting to rise, kneading again, making a loop, pre-heating the oven and baking …was all a waste of time and energy. My Ensenada is far from the real one. It tastes like crap and hard as a rock.
I followed the recipe “step by step” but who knows why my Ensaymada was a failure. Anyway, just like my puto thing…I’m not going to stop until I master and perfect the recipe. Better luck next time.

Hmmm, you need tasters. :-) I volunteer! Ship some to me. Hehe. I love ensaymada, and bread in general. I love 'em even without the palaman.

hey that's ok. Just charge it to experience. as they say you never learn anything if you don't fail. So I'm sure that you're on your way on being the next "Ensaymada Queen" hehehe.
Good luck and hope to get a bite of your best batch hehehe. ^_^
