I was watching TV Patrol this morning and still the price of rice is skyrocketing all over the world. They’ve said, that it will continue until the end of the year. Philippines and many Asian countries are now panicking but I won’t blame them…they needs to eat!

You might ask why rice is getting expensive. Mainly, because the rice supply is decreasing due to flood in many Asian countries. And big rice exporters like Vietnam have also reduced their exports to attend their local needs.

So many reasons why we have rice shortage “not only due to climate changes’’ but also because of the big people who have the power. It’s a very long story and I cannot write every details of it. So better read, watch and learn about it.

Everyone knows that Rice is the Staple food of Filipinos and if the government will not do some actions to feed the nation then expect a serious outcome. I just wish that the Philippines government will not get to overdependence on rice imports. They should at least prioritize the agriculture, more land for rice farming, affordable seeds and fertilizers, and implement a genuine agrarian reform. Stop Corruption! Which is not going to happen sooner or later… (photo from:mtyto's)
