Pet Mantis

The praying mantis that is living in one of my butterfly bush is now growing big. I check this mantis everyday and I often catch him/her eating some moth. It used to jump away from me before but not anymore. I can even touch and let it stand on my fingers. This little creature is keeping me occupied every time I’m outside the porch waiting for the kid’s school bus. I should give this one a name but the problem is if it’s a she or he (hehehehhe). It looks like a she because it’s big and very plump. I should do some research on how to tell if it’s a male or female mantis. I know, females eat their mate after the “ahem”. Will check it out later.
