Hey guys, this site was acting up once again. I have no idea what’s going on and I am trying my very best to make it run like it used to be. I have received several messages yesterday about the error message while opening the site and I am very sorry for the inconvenience. This site is now working back but I still have a little problem with republishing. I’ve been having so many problems on this site for years now and I am seriously thinking something crazy ‘wink’. Anyway, I just hope all my tweaking will have some results very soon.

I talked to my father awhile ago and his asking for another SD card for his new photo collection. I sent a 2GB SD card 6 months ago and now he wanted for more. I guess, I need to get him another one with higher GB and hopefully it will be enough. I should check Buy.com website because they have all kind of affordable flash memory that you can think of. I was trying to clean Joe‘s PC yesterday because it was working very slow and crappy for weeks now. I guess, its time to bring it down again to the computer clinic and will see what‘s causing it. My eldest son has been asking for a watch since he was four years old. His now seven and he knew how to tell time and I believe his ready to have his very own wrist watch. Vietnamese Banana Cake

We went to the International market last Friday and I bought bags of Vietnamese sweets. The photo above is banana cake. It was my first time eating such dessert and it was pretty delicious. It’s made from sweet rice, red beans, banana and etc. I have no idea how they’ve made it but I would love to try it sometime.

I bought another kind of rice cake but this one was wrapped by some leaves. Still no idea what leaves it is but it smells really good like the “pandan leaves”. Anyway, I will take some more photos tomorrow if I have the appetite to chow again. I have been pigging out lately and I need to slow down before I blow up again and cry boohoo for acting like a pig ‘wink’.

Updates

Hey guys, what’s up! I feel like I was gone for ages and I am sorry for not updating you all lately. My blogging mood is pretty low and not much tasks for me to do too. Beside we’re both busy looking for real job that pays real money “hehehe”. Still not luck with the job hunting yet and it’s pretty depressing.

My Joe is going to do his second time physical check up next week and we’re both crossing our fingers that he will pass and get the military training and job. It’s the only option that we have right now. I am aware of the consequences that he can be send to Iraq ,Afghanistan or somewhere in the future but what choice do we have? Any advices are highly appreciated?

Roses

I have been busy and lazy lately and have neglected most of my duties. But still find time to enjoy my photography hobby. The other day I went around the yard and took snapshots of the last blooms of my roses. The pink flower is one of my favorites because it’s simply gorgeous and the fragrance is wonderful. If we’re not relocating, I will probably make my rose garden a bit wider and plant more varieties of roses.

Tomorrow morning we are hiding to the North Carolina Mountain and visit my in-laws and some relatives. It’s the kids fall break and we though we could use a break and breath some fresh air. Kids miss their granny and poppa a lot. Hopefully, Joe will not change his mind tomorrow and not go because I know that his still have some more errands to do. Will just wait and see.

Good Deed

I am not supposed to be blogging right now because I feel bored and lazy but I need some moolah bad. I promised to myself to do a monthly good deed to my relatives back home. Last month , me and my sister sent a huge birthday surprised to my grandmother for her 80th birthday and this month we sent another surprised for my uncle 60th birthday. It’s not much but we are both thankful that we made them happy and felt important.

I miss most of my relatives back home, especially my mother side because their all very nice and always loving us in spite of our imperfection. Funny and silly, but we spend more time with my mother side family a lot compare to my father side for so many reasons. Anyway, I better go back to my work and start making moolah.

Portable Oxygen Concentrator

Do you know what oxygen concentrator is? According to the wikipedia, it is a device used to provide oxygen therapy to a patient at substantially higher concentrations than those of ambient air, used as an alternative to tank compressed oxygen.

The last time that were in Florida with my in-laws and Aunt Nancy and Uncle Charles was almost a disaster. Aunt Nancy is using a portable oxygen concentrator for awhile now for her to breath. But one morning she woke up grasping for air because the tube of her oxygen concentrator was not attached to the machine. We had no idea why it happened but thank goodness she was alright. We miss her a lot and hopefully will see them again soon.

Sunday Rant

Finally the girl who’s been pestering me decided to end her brawl. I never received any messages and nasty comments lately. Maybe, she’s out from her box now and can think clearly and sensibly. Anyway, I wish her peace of mind.

I am bored and tired. I wish to go somewhere with some friends and watch movie or play badminton. I’ve called my closed Pinay friend but she’s still somewhere in Florida enjoying the warm sunshine and sandy beach. We’re supposed to be driving up to Franklin, North Carolina but postponed the trip because we still have some errands to do tomorrow. The kids will be out from school for a week for fall break. I hope we can do something fun and productive on the next 7 days. Will just wait and see.

Here, they called this flower a sea rose but we have different name for it “Vietnam rose, portulaca and etc.” These flowers are growing abundantly and everywhere in my home town. It’s very pretty that you can't resist but to stop and look at it up close. My garden at the front porch is covered with these flowers but their blooms are now dying due to temperature changes.

I saw an ocean of sea roses not long time ago to one of the commercial real estate around here. I thought it was magnificent and cool. I should plant more portulaca next year.

Healthy Cooking

I guess, you‘ve all notice that I keep on posting about my weight issue lately. I am pretty sure most of you are tired and bored already “hehehe“. But hey! It feels good every time I share my weight struggles here, it makes me feel a pound lighter. I am back to my daily exercise routine and I am into healthy cooking habit now. I just hope that I can keep it up for a long time. Wish me luck.

I was able to take some photos of the kids the other day and here are some of them. The kids are growing so fast and I feel sad that I don’t spend more time with them anymore now that their both in school. But I am trying to give them my full attention when their home and on the weekends. I try to limit my time online and more for them.

We have a country fair in downtown and I can’t wait to take them on Friday night. I know their both going to enjoy the fair just like before. How I wish their tall enough to ride the big ferry wheels and some other rides. The fair is not that big but it’s big enough to accommodate the whole county or even more. We have fall festival coming soon and we can’t wait to participate in that one too.

I can‘t wait to start working again soon. I‘ve already talked to my ex-manager and she‘s taking me back. I don‘t like the time schedules that she shown me but I have no choice and I need the job bad. I will be working from 3AM to 7AM every weekday. It’s not a guarantee job but I hope I will get the slot. Anyway, I am now browsing for self defense products online. Orovo Diet Pills

We went out for dinner once again because hubby is sick of eating my cooking “bohoho“. His too picky and he doesn’t even know how to cook beside chili, spaghetti and cheese burgers. I am gaining more weight everyday and it feels like I’m turning into a giant plum. I should double my excise time and take some of that orovo diet pills to lose weight fast. I hope hubby will not think on going out again tomorrow.

Sibog Kokok

I have no idea the name of this little creature but we used to call this a “sibog-sibog kokok” back in the Philippines. I’ve never thought that we have these insects around here and in Florida. I used to play with it when I was in grade school. I got so excited when I saw a lot of them around the trees and shown it to the boys. Zack like to catch them but I am making sure he will return them alive. Dylan though these insects are scary and disgusting that his meters away from where his brother is playing”hahaha”.

Does anyone here know the name of this one? My father-in-law is calling it a web catcher (I am not really sure); I guess I should call him once again and ask. But anyway, I have to get out now and wait for the school bus.

Urinary Tract Infection

My Dylan is now feeling a lot better. His urge to urinate decreases and hopefully it will get back to normal. He doesn’t have UTI (Urinary tract infection) but he was given some medication and it helps a lot. The boy is drinking too much liquid more than his body can handle. I don’t blame the boy because it’s too hot around here and drinking water and other fluids help to quench the thirst.

I’m glad that he never missed school and his teacher was not complaining anymore. I hope his going to get his free pass ticket to the city fair today. I promised to take them one night and they can ride all the kiddy rides. We are all very excited except daddy “hehehe” but we’ve decided to leave daddy at home so we can have fun.
