Vacation

Sorry for not posting anything lately guys. We just got back from our short holiday vacation. We had fun but I had more than enough that I can handle. I feel like a huge funky pig right now that is going to explode any moment. I pigged out like there’s no end!!! Anyway, I don’t have any vacation photos to show off right now…stupid me forgot to bring my camera battery charger. We did not do much because it was pouring rain and the temperature went down to freezing. I can’t wait after the New Year because we are planning to go to Florida and spend couple of days. I hope mom and dad will come too so we can go oyster picking “yum” for two days. I am very excited and I can’t wait to bring a bag of lemons too.

Can't Stop Blogging

I know its Christmas Eve but I can’t stop blogging right now. I have couple of tasks that will due today. People around here celebrate and have the feast on Christmas Day but not in our house…my boys love the idea of the Noche Buena. I was reading an article about cerebral palsy and I remembered that we used to have a neighbor before who had a daughter who suffered the disease. I cannot remember her name but she is a pretty girl and smiles a lot. I have no idea if she’s still alive because they’ve moved to another place while I was still in the Philippines.

For your information: Cerebral palsy is the disease that results in uncontrolled movement and posture. This is because the part of the brain that controls the movement is damaged. If you would like to know more about the disease then please surf online for more information.

Pecan Pie

The last time I baked pecan pie was like two years ago. I can never bake a pecan pie as yummy as my mother in-law pie. She gave me her recipe but I lost it while I was packing our stuffs for the move. Oh well, I will just surf online and look for some recipe similar to her. I don’t feel like calling and asking right now.

Anyway, I am still not in the mood for blogging…I have so much in my head right now and I can’t even share it to you all. The year is almost over and still no job but the hunting is still on. I just hope hubby will pass his second exam and interview early next month. Wish us luck guys.

I had a good chat with my friend who is now working in UAE. I miss her very much and I can’t wait for him to visit USA one day. She’s still single and looking for someone special. I hope he will find someone that is nice and will love her forever. She is a nice girl, kind hearted and one of the best of my friends. We grew up together and went the same schools until high school. She’s a bit heavy though but healthy. She is trying to lose some weight and I can’t wait to share the Fentraphen that a closed friend recommended. I hope it will work because she is desperately wishing to lose at least 20 to 40 pounds before her next birthday. Wish her luck guys.

I miss taking pictures very much and I can’t wait for my mojo to come back. My SLR is patiently waiting for me. I was playing of it the other day and took couple of shots around the house. Santa has delivered my present 4 days ago and it’s a new point and shoot digital camera. My old pocket camera has retired and it deserved to rest after 9 years of service. I love canon brand a lot because it never let me down ever since. I still wish that Santa still remember to bring my cashmere socks on Christmas.

I have received an email yesterday from someone closed to the family long time ago. It was a big surprised because the last time I heard from them was like 20 years ago. I have no idea where they’ve found my email address but I was glad though, I am now trying to get hold anyone of them. I miss them very much and I can’t wait to see them one day. I should try to call tatay and mama and ask about them. Oh well, I better get busy now and check that personalized books for the kids. I will update you all about this issue for sure.

Short Update

Hey guys, what’s up? Sorry for not posting some updates lately. I am trying to spend more time with the kid’s while there out from school. I don’t have much interesting news to share. We spent most of our time outdoor taking advantage of the nice weather. Christmas is fast approaching and I’m still not ready for kid’s present. I should get busy now and finish everything before the big day. We are not planning to have a feast on Christmas day but I will cook something for our Noche Buena. I took the photo of my angel topper on top of the fireplace. My 12 inches plastic Christmas tree cannot accommodate her right now. I decided not to put up my 7ft tree this year for some reasons. Joe invited me this afternoon to the Christmas tree farm down the road but I refused. I love to decorate a tree but not this year. I can’t really tell you my reasons because it may sound stupid and you might call me the grinch! I still have the spirit of Christmas and we are celebrating the season for sure. Anyway, we went out this morning and finally bought presents for the kid’s, not much but I am pretty sure they will enjoy and will have fun with it. Dylan's Birthday Party

We had Dylan’s birthday party yesterday after school and it was a simple but fun celebration. We had unexpected visitors came by and thank goodness we had enough food to accommodate their hungry tummies. Dylan’s had his fun and thankful for all the yummy food and gifts that he’d received. Tomorrow, his going to bring his cupcakes and goodie bags to school for his classmates. He is very excited and cannot wait to give his treats away. My birthday is coming next and I am curious what my boys are up to, will just wait and see.

Best Diet Supplement

I am now browsing online for the best diet supplement available in the market. I weighed myself once again this morning and I was disgusted of my weight gain. I feel like crap but there’s no one to be blame but myself. I have not been watching what I eat lately and exercising is the last thing in my mind. Ranting

My birthday is approaching and the more I think about it the more I freak out. Before I get excited when my big day comes but not this time. I feel like the time is stealing my youth ‘wink’. I don’t have any plans on my birthday “the usual”, especially that we have some serious financial issue.

Hubby is still thinking something for me and his thought is more than enough to makes my day happy. We had Dylan’s birthday party yesterday; it was a good and fun day for him. I will post some photos a little bit later, so please do come back.

Stomach bug is going around school once again. I picked Dylan’s at school nurse station not long time ago. Tomorrow is his birthday and we feel sorry that his sick. He doesn’t want me to postpone it either. His very excited and cannot wait to celebrate his big day well or sick “wink”. We’ve decided to use Transformer as the theme. We don’t have any visitors coming but we will have a little party good for four people. Cupcakes and goodie bags for his classmates will be send until his feeling better. Oh well, less baking and decorating for me.

The news might be days old but it struck me hard! I feel sorry for the Filipina girl who has lost his dreams and life. I have read couple of articles and comments about this issue and it’s pretty disturbing what some people thoughts about the tragedy. I know it’s weird and crazy but I am craving of dinuguan (blood pudding) for months now. I never cook dinuguan before but I eat it all the time. I have to ask someone for recipe and maybe cook some one day. I know where to buy all the ingredients but every time I talk about it cooking , one of my friends is keep teasing me not to buy the frozen pig blood in the international market because it might not be a blood of a pig “wink”. I am trying to make a short video using memoriesontv awhile ago but I am having troubles on saving it to my files. I can seem to remember on how to save it. I made some videos before and never had any problems. I am now desperate and hoping help will come soon. Oh well, just my luck and lost the big moolah! Anyway, I will try again later when my head is clear and if Joe’s willing to let me use his PC once again.

We still have a nasty weather and going outdoor is the last thing in my mind. The kid’s are well and now back to their wild and free behavior but their both trying so hard to behave like angels because Santa’s coming very soon. I will see you all later guys.

Shopping

We went out shopping yesterday and the crowd was terrible. We came in very late hoping for the crowd to cease but unfortunately it was not. People were rushing, pushing and annoying each others. I can’t even move my cart because I have to wait for 2 huge butts to move ahead from me. In fact, I did not start my Christmas shopping yet for some financial reasons. I only bought birthday gifts for Dylan’s birthday next week. I hate to shop when the crowd is huge, that is why! I told Joe already that we will do our Christmas shopping in the middle of the night or after mid-night.
