One more sleeps until the New Year. 2010 is coming very soon. I wish hubby is not working so we can celebrate and welcome the New Year together. I miss the Philippines New Year celebration because it always grand in spite of hardship. They always welcome it with a big bang!

I am not cooking or baking anything tomorrow so it will be a quite and normal day for us “maybe”. If I feel good then maybe I will bake a chiffon or jelly roll cake for snack while waiting for the blue moon. I heard it this morning that it will be very nice tomorrow night. I hope it’s not windy and freezing outside so we can all enjoy and welcome the New Year with glee. Have a safe and Happy New Year Guys.

Happy New Year To Everyone

Tomorrow is New Years Eve and I do not have any idea what to fix for dinner. Hubby is working so just me and the boys. Hopefully we will see some of the fireworks at midnight. Here in the south we roast beef or pork and cook black-eyed peas and collard greens on New Years day for good luck. I was thinking on cooking my meat in the crock pot but decided to roast it in the oven in stead for a change.

The kid’s do not like beans and collard greens so I still need to fix something that they can eat. I feel like kutchinta, puto and biko but it’s too much to already. I pigged out last Thanksgiving and Christmas already so no more pigging out. I am still thinking what will be New Years resolution. I always have the same thing every year and it never happens. Oh well! …what are your resolutions for this New Year?

Let's Play Games

Playing battleship and connect fours to my youngest son is just crazy. His big cheat and always making all these annoying noises. You can never concentrate if it’s your turns to move because he will be on top of you making all these weird noises. I wish his old enough to spell words then maybe he can play scrabble with his brother and daddy.

I just checked my dinner rolls and its rising perfectly. I have to wait another hour or two, the more it rises that flakier and softer it gets when cook. Opps! It’s 8PM, I better get out now and get the boy’s ready for bed and take the dog for his business.

I Want bread Now

I am waiting for my sweet dinner rolls to rise right now. Dylan is too anxious for this sweet, soft and delicious homemade sweet bread. I decided not to use my bread maker this time for a change. We just ate dinner but I am still hungry. I had a tiny George grill cheese burger and a piece of tomato pickled that mom-in-law gave us years ago ‘can’t hardly remember how old is this pickled green tomato but it still good and crisp’. Hubby is going back to work tomorrow and hopefully he will be around on New Years Eve. Oh great! Dylan is getting the battleship game again. I better get out now and play with him for awhile. Shopping For a Tree

We went shopping yesterday and it was a disaster. The store was a messed and people are pouring like crazy. We arrived really early and enjoyed shopping for less than an hour without fighting to anybody. My goal was only to get a new Christmas tree and Christmas lights. Christmas Updates

Christmas was fun and simple this year. The kid’s had a blast, happy and definitely satisfied what Santa’s brought for them. I got my wishes granted too. Hubby got me a stand mixer for Christmas and my birthday. I feel guilty for not getting what he wants for Christmas. I offered but his too hardheaded to accept it. The kid’s picked couple of things for him though. New Year is coming very soon and we’re all excited. I better get out now and finish my work. I will see you all later guys. Happy Birthday To Me

Tomorrow is my big day. Another year will be added to my age. It sucks to get old but I decided to face old age gracefully with pride and smiles. Hubby has been bugging me about my plans but honestly I don’t have anything else in my mind beside “crispy pata and sizzling sisig” weird huh! He told me about this huge Fresh Market in Destin, FL the other day and we might drive down in the morning while the kid’s are in school. It will be fun and busy day for me because I need to take Zack for his doctor’s appointment in the afternoon.

Ranting My Ass Off

What’s for dinner guys? We have left-over beef caldaria, lumping shanghai and fried rice tonight. I also made ham and cinnamon croissants for the kid’s. Dylan is still asleep and Zack is playing like there’s no end. We bought him a new video game the other day but his too scared to play it right now. Do not ask what game, it has zombies and all kind of silly scary stuffs. I didn’t play with it yet maybe later tonight when he goes to sleep.

It is still so nasty outside and hubby is getting ready to work. I feel sorry for him to work some of the time outdoor. He told me that it was freaking cold last night even with his thermal wear. I have to look something that he can wear under his uniforms. Maybe something made from wool, nylon, cotton or something that will keep him war except the fur. Any suggestions?

I miss Philippines

I miss Tatay and Mama very much. I didn’t talk with them for weeks now. Their both busy in church and public services during this month. I hope their doing okay and healthy. I have to give them a call tonight and see if they went to Villanueva for the town fiesta. I miss home so much that I wish I am with them right this moment. I get so bored sometimes that always wish to be in the Philippines hanging around with friends. Christmas and New Years back home is very prosperous and different. I miss home a lot!

It is time of the year again for us to replace the refrigerator ice and water filter. I went to the store the other day but I can’t find the model of the filter that we need. I hope the weather will be good tomorrow so I can finish my Christmas shopping. I still need to look for something for hubby. His been asking for binocular or a telescope but I can‘t find the one that he likes. I still need to look for barcode scanner for a friend too. I wish to finish everything tomorrow afternoon before hubby goes to work. I still need to pick some more oranges and pecans to bring to North Carolina for mom. So many chores to do so little time left. I better get busy and get done with it.

Not So Ready For the Holiday

We have 13th days until Christmas (according to my calendar) and still I didn’t send my Christmas cards yet. I better get them ready before Monday and mail it. I didn’t send any last year “I think” or maybe to selected people only. I still need to buy the rest of the things for my balik-bayan box. I am hoping that I will have enough money to send it on January. It’s sad to be broke during this holiday. I’m just glad that we bought the kid’s presents already. It’s not much but it’s everything they like. I still need to pick couple of stuffs for their stockings too.My birthday is coming very soon and I can't wait for my surprises! What could it be...?mmmm.

orlando vacations

I can’t wait for our next vacation. I am hoping that hubby can get a week off this month or early next month. We have been planning for an Orlando, Florida get-away. I already surfed for orlando vacations and found so many affordable vacation packages. I would love to take the kid’s to see the Sea World and Disney World. They never been to these kind of places and I am pretty sure their going to enjoys it. So wish us luck guys.

Poor Boy Sick Again

Dylan is still sick but it never stops him from having fun on his birthday. We have a little birthday celebration yesterday. We’re supposed to take them to Pizza kastle but he was too sick and weak to go out. And I don’t want to drag him out in the colds. He is so congested right now. I just gave him some medicine and I hope it will help it loosen the phlegm. I need to take him to the doctor if it will persist. He missed so many days in school already. I don’t want him to miss a lot and be left behind. Anyway, I really don’t have much to share this time. I am watching Living Death Korean movie right now but my computer is keeps on stopping for some reasons. I better fix this system and finish the movie before I get tired.

I got my first Christmas gift check the other day and I am planning to buy an extra battery pack for my camera and maybe more computer memory for my PC. I have been downloading so many files, videos and pictures lately and my PC is working pretty slowly now. I can’t wait for another gift certificate to come soon then maybe I will buy a new flash card and some make-up too. I am excited and anxious for my birthday surprises. Can’t wait! I am looking forward for more gift cards to spend. Wish me luck.

Sickness

I feel bad for cancelling Dylan’s birthday party. He is not feeling well right now. Hopefully he will feel better tomorrow so he can still go to Pizza Kastle for some fun. I still need tobake his cake early tomorrow and wrap his presents too . I was feeling crappy this morning and forgot to pick some decors and balloons. His pretty excited in spite of feeling sick. I hate when the boys get sick. Zack was so sick last week that he missed 3 days in school. Thank goodness, I don’t have any bronchitis this year. I think the warmer weather is better for me. I better get these boys ready for bed. Be right back.

It was crazy cold yesterday morning but it never stops me from going out. Finally! We are done with Christmas shopping. We didn’t buy much just couple of things that the kid’s wants. I might go shopping after Christmas with some friends for on sales. I still need to look for rackmount that hubby been asking. I was surfing online for the thing and found some cool and affordable one. I guess I will go ahead and place my order as soon I get my next pay check. Not another Rants

Vegetables and seafood tempura for dinner was delicious. I wish we have some sushi too. I am tired and bored. Dylan is not feeling well, his been ill since yesterday. Tomorrow is his birthday and it will be sad if he get sick. His tummy is hurting and I have no idea why. I hope is not stomach flu. My birthday is coming very soon too and I am not looking forward to it. I hate getting old! Anyway, I better stop now and go back to my work. I have a huge pile of laundry to fold and dirty dishes to wash. See you all a bit.
