We arrived US of A yesterday. We had lay-over in Washington DC for hours waiting for the bad storm to subside. Anyway, we had a very brave pilot so we flew and made it safe in Atlanta. We just got home from a wedding celebration. The church wedding was solemn and nice. I was one of the photographers so I was not able to pay attention what the priest was preaching about. Thank you God for my great blood work results. I have been good and watching my diet strictly for months now. I made kare-kare for the first time. I used the mixed kare-kare for flavor. Instead of using oxtail I used neck bones and for vegetables. I used cabbage, zucchini and spinach. Happy Chinese New Year everyone. I have few Chinese friends in the Philippines and today is huge and fun day for everyone. Now! I miss my moon cake already. I went to the pharmacy to get a refill for my med this afternoon but went home feeling like crap. My insurance denied and canceled my request. I don’t know who’s kid’s like to do their daily homework. I wish my kids are more into it, they hates homework. They even asked me who invented school and homework. I can’t remember when was the last time I had authentic sisig. I think I didn’t even tried some when I was in the Philippines almost five years ago. It’s one of my favorite “pulutan sa inuman” . I think I eat more sisig than drinking. Some of you might find it weird and nasty but it’s really good.

We have one place in Cagayan De Oro City that only open during lunch to dinner and they served the best sisig ever. Its made of lean pork with some skin in it. I tried to find them but unfortunately , they closed long time ago . I can probably cook sisig but I will just wait until I get in the Philippines. I know its too early for spring cleaning but I started mine last week. I still have so many things to clean but hopefully I will finish everything before my big vacation.
